The roots of Action Tree Service, Inc., date back to 1981, when partners, Don Murphy and Bert Kuhn, became self-employed. Their initial experience came from working for 4 years with the area's largest tree company, both becoming crew foremen. In pursuit of the American dream, with 2 pick-up trucks, 3 chain saws, climbing gear and an intense passion for working in trees, a new business was born. Owning and operating a tree business has been challenging, rewarding and a continual learning experience.Action Tree Service, Inc., remains committed to providing the highest level of professional tree care. Whether it's controlling lace bugs on an Azalea shrub or removal of a hazardous 100' oak tree or anything in between, we are well staffed and equipped to handle your plant care needs. Our tree care services include: Pruning To enhance and improve aesthetics, future growth of plants and to address safety concerns. Deep Root Fertilization Including bio-stimulation of root zones through hydraulic soil injections. The state of NJ recommends fertilizing your trees every two years. Our fertilizer includes the beneficial fungi and microorganisms that simulate the natural process in soils for greater nutrient absorption. Cabling & Bracing Where needed to support weak crouching of trees. Tree Removals Removal of dead, hazardous or unwanted trees. Antidesiccant Application also known as "wilt proofing." Many broadleaf evergreens are affected annually by winter injury. A wilt proofing application, now, will protect them from cold, dry winter winds. This protection slows the transpiration loss of the foliage, limiting winter injury. Stump Removal Grinding of unwanted stumps approximately 12" below grade. Wood & Brush Removal Chipping of unwanted brush and wood debris. Mulch Dark double-ground hardwood mulch can be purchased per yard, minimum 10 yards - Local delivery is FREE! Logs for Firewood Contractors Call for availability and pricing. Saw Mill Service Oak Trailer Planking custom cut to fit trailers, Fireplace Mantels, Timbers and Beams custom cut to fit your needs.
