A.C.E. designs landscapes of all sizes, emphasizing usable, sustainable landscapes where function is as important as aesthetics in design. A.C.E. believes sustainable landscapes are ecologically responsible and should be pleasing to the senses each season of the year. In designing landscapes around buildings or architectural features, A.C.E. is responsive to the architectural design in formulating landscape concepts. A.C.E. endeavors to be compatible with site context when appropriate.
A.C.E. has the ability to provide design-build services for all sizes of landscapes. Design/build projects result in no ambiguity over responsibility regarding design versus construction. By eliminating one more link in the chain of architects and contractors on a project, the entire process is streamlined resulting in a higher quality product in a more timely and favorable manner. A.C.E. has provided design-build services for many projects including large residences, churches, schools, office buildings, and most recently for the I-15 Freeway Improvements Project along 12300 and 12600 South in Draper and Riverton, Utah; and the SR-201 Freeway Improvements Project along Redwood Road in West Valley City, Utah.
Alan Christensen Enterprises began work as Alan J. Christensen & Associates, Inc. in 1980, providing landscape architectural, land planning, landscape ecological and landscape construction services. A.C.E. has since expanded into the fields of excavation, demolition and property maintainance services. Our project history spans Utah, California, Arizona, Nevada, Idaho, Colorado, Wyoming, New York, Michigan and Minnesota with over 400 projects projects ranging in size from a few thousand to over $2.5 million. A.C.E. employs up to 75 employees at any given time. Our key employees hold an aggregate of over 100 years of construction and design experience.
A.C.E. is bondable and insured up to $2 million and can increase this coverage for special projects requiring higher bonding and insurance limits. We are licensed in Utah, Idaho, Nevada and Hawaii and can become licensed in other states upon request. In addition, A.C.E. is registered with the Utah Unified Certification Program (UDOT, UTA, and SL International Airport) as a certified MBE/DBE which helps many of our clients fulfill MBE/DBE requirements on federal and state projects.
A.C.E. is committed to achieving superiority in customer satisfaction. We take pride in completing all projects within the approved schedule and budgetary guidelines. Due to the breadth of our experience and licensure in many aspects of design and construction, which frequently overlap, we can often limit the need for change orders by foreseeing possible conflicts in design and construction and by providing proficient solutions. In addition, by keeping up with cutting-edge technology within each aspect of our company, we are able to provide our customers with more efficient, better quality services. We understand that our future prosperity is directly linked to the success of our clients. Because of the quality of our work and exceptional customer service, most of our clients are repeat customers or from referrals.
