Founder and Company President, Deanna Pillarelli, APLD has been collaborating with discerning clients for over 20 years, designing memorable outdoor living spaces that fulfill the requirements of each client and respond to the particular features of the site.

Deanna has an extensive background in horticulture and landscaping experience dating from a degree from the University of Arizona in 1975. After living abroad in England for several years, she settled in the Delaware Valley and completed the ‘Certificate of Ornamental Plants’, Series I & II, at Longwood Gardens, PA. Her passion for garden design leads her to participate in many professional seminars and conferences to stay abreast of the latest trends in the industry.

Garden Escapes has received the Delaware Nursery and Landscape Association’s (DNLA) ‘Landscape Award’ in 2002, 2004, and 2006.

Deanna is a former President and Board Member of the International Association of Professional Landscape Designers (APLD) and remains a longstanding certified member.
