Gene Gravel, with his firm Gravel's Landscape, Inc., has completed landscape projects for my house in Montpelier in each of the last three years: in 2004, he executed a set of front steps and walkway which greatly enhanced the curb appeal of my property; in 2005, the 55 foot snaking retainer wall in my backyard was often commented on by friends and neighbors alike; and, currently, he and his crew are completing a massive and beautifully constructed multi-tiered hardscape that is taming what once was an unruly hillside jungle behind my house. This project is already the talk of the neighborhood, both for its sheer size, and its sleek execution.

In all of these undertakings, Gene has worked tirelessly to achieve the look I desired, and, even more, has shown his ability to adapt to an ever changing, evolving undertaking, brought on by the needs of a difficult hillside, and a demanding client like myself. During each step of the way, Gene has been both patient and professional, and has always been upfront about budget and completion dates. He has demonstrated a flair for coming up with smart solutions to challenging problems.

This letter is being written as a recommendation for Gravel's Landscaping Co., Inc. located in Graniteville Vermont.

I have had the pleasure of working with Gene Gravel on several landscape projects. The first being completed in 2004 which included walkways (stone and pavers), patio (pavers), Celtic walls, stone steps and flower beds including all plantings. This project was completed on my existing residence.

I again employed Mr. Gravel's company this year to provide paver walkways, paver patios (one included 8' circle inside), Celtic walls, installation of lawns, flower beds, and general landscaping on my son's newly constructed home also located in Elmore Vermont.

I know of no one that comes close to Gene's knowledge of landscape design and landscape products. The work he did in 2004 has survived the test of time and is still receiving compliments from all that come on the property. The current work on my son's home is spectacular. Both projects have increased the value of the properties, as well as, the personal function and enjoyment to the homeowners.

In addition to his knowledge Gene and his staff conduct their business in a professional manner from start to finish. Budgets and timelines are adhered to with any changes to either communicated and discussed before, during, and at the close of the project. Gene always makes himself available. Throughout my dealings he has always shown himself to be both knowledgeable and customer driven.

I would highly recommend Gravel's Landscape Co., Inc. and will be using them on any future projects we have.
