Pruning

Pruning is both an masterpiece and science. We perform excellent pruning of virtually all varieties of trees and shrubs that grow in Kansas City. We prune to improve the health, safety and beauty of a tree, as well as to exceed our clients expectation.

Pruning techniques & special strategies:
 
·  Removing dead wood-If you would like to keep your tree health and safety, it is important to prune dead branches from your trees.
 
·  Reducing the crown- Crown includes all branches and leaves and reduction involves carefully pruning branches at the outer edges of the crown to reduce the height or size of the crown, while keeping its natural shape.
 
·  Thinning the crown-Thinning a tree crown increase sunlight penetration for turf or gardens below. If you leave in an area that have bad storm damage. This is also an important measure to reduce wind resistance, to prevent possible storm damage.
 
·  "Raising" the crown-This term refers to removal of lower limbs and branches, or branches that are too close to roofs or buildings. Raising lower limbs is often necessary to allow clearance for mowing, pedestrians, vehicles, etc. raising branches close to roofs is necessary to prevent roof damage caused by the growth of moss or rubbing branches.
 
·  Storms damage repair- Suppose your limbs or trunks are broken off due to high winds, ice or storms, you will need to consider having the ragged stump pruned back to avoid the entry of fungus and insects.
 
·  Vista pruning-If you have a good view from your window, pruning can open the view (or vista) without harming the tree.
 
·  Growth stimulation-Many shrubs and certain trees respond to pruning by pushing out rapid new growth. Apple trees, for instance, are stimulated to produce apples by specialized pruning.
 
· Root pruning-Because the roots are underground, and usually invisible, homeowener and bussinesowner sometimes overlooked the roots in tree maintenance. In some instances, roots can be carefully pruned to prevent their interference with walks, driveways, and building foundations, without killing the tree.
