About Miles Ecavating

Steve Miles sold his prize winning quarter horse to buy his first back-Hoe. He would do excavating jobs by the hour for mechanical and electrical contractors. taking all kind of jobs no matter how small. He taught himself hot to bid jobs, learn the ropes of managing a company and hiring expeerienced employees.

Now 25 years later, Miles excavating, Inc has grown into one of the most well-organized excavating companies in the Knsan city metro area. Today as a president of the company Steve ha had over 160 employees. his wife Darla works in the office as well. She is the companies EEO officer and corporate secretary.Steve and Darla have put together a team of expeerienced superintendents, Foreman,Crews,Estimators,Surveyours and office staff.

Steve still does most of the street tear-outs as wellas bidding,estimating,over seeing all of the crews and sites dialy. Darla oversees the office staff and works with the state wuditors and accountants. Steve and Darla are very family oriented, then enjoy spending time with their 6 kids. Watching them play sports, Spending time at the lake and riding their horses.
