About Rothwell Landscape, Inc.

Rothwell Landscape, Inc. was started by Jason Rothwell. His business venture began as an 11 year old boy mowing lawns in the neighborhood. As time went by, and he obtained a drivers’ license, he began to branch out to neighborhoods other than his own. Rothwell Mowing was the name used and soon customers were wanting leaves raked, bushes trimmed, and flowers planted and the business began to grow. Rothwell Landscape was officially started in 1992. Jason hired his first employees in high school and when he graduated from Manhattan High it only seemed natural that he continue his education at Kansas State University in the Horticulture Department. As he pursued his degree in Landscape Design, he had already begun to take on landscape projects. The business was flourishing as Jason juggled full time school and a full time business. Jason graduated in December 1996 and 1997 was the first year of the business where he did not have school as well. Since that time the business has experienced tremendous growth each year and has become one of Manhattan’s most respected landscape companies. In 2000, the business purchased West Acres Nursery in Junction City. West Acres had been the main garden store operation in Junction City for over 30 years. The nursery has since been renamed Rothwell Landscape, Inc. While the garden center no longer exists, like our Manhattan location, in Junction City we offer complete landscape services including: landscape and irrigation design and installation, landscape maintenance, mowing, and fertilizing programs. Our managers are all Kansas State University alumni with the knowledge and expertise to help make your lawn look beautiful. We treat each project like it is our own.
